What is Visa Information Source (VIS)?
Visa Information Source is a flexible internet-based reporting solution for Business Visa® credit card customers with 10 or more cardholders. VIS provides automated report generation and email delivery of commercial transaction data to participating companies.

Is VIS easy to implement?
Yes, this is a web-based application developed by Visa and no technical development is required.

What are the software requirements?
- Internet browser. The Visa Information Management site provides participating companies with access to Visa’s VIS online management and reporting tools. This site has been fully tested using the following:
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 with Update SP1, or
- Mozilla Firefox, at least version 1.0.8, and preferably version 1.5.0.6
- An application for extracting compressed files from the zip format
- Adobe® Acrobat Reader for viewing reports
- A valid email address

What reports are offered?
VIS offers over 90 reports including Annual Cardholder and Company Summary,
Cardholder Summary, Merchant Category Summary, Cardholder Statement Detail and Summary, Company Billing
Summary, and Spending Detail plus the ability to generate custom and ad hoc reports. Transaction data from all
reports can be downloaded to common file formats such as Excel, Dbase, SQL, TMTL, Tab Delimited Text and
financial software such as QuickBooks® and Quicken®.

Are there additional VIS benefits?
Yes, VIS also offers business customers many more additional features:
- Spending Alert Service – sends an email or online alert when purchases fall outside parameters that are set by the Company Administrator or cardholder
- Bill Payment Notifications – received by email or online messaging when an authorized recurring charge is placed on a Visa Business credit card
- Data Exports – download information and schedule daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually to use offline with Excel, Quicken or other financial software
- Download transaction data into Company’s G/L using file extracts in common file formats such as Microsoft Excel
- Review spending with key suppliers and use the information to negotiate discounts or more attractive rates
- Email and online reminders - scheduled by calendar date
- Add quick notes to billing statements
- Improved workflow by using the automated approval process
- On-line help and User’s Guides
- Transaction data is updated daily by Visa
- Historical data available with a rolling 25 months (from January 1, 2007) maintained online

What merchant categories are covered?
VIS tracks expenses for all merchant categories including Business Services, Materials and Supplies, General Merchandise, Travel, Lodging, Meals and Entertainment, Vehicle, and Cash Advances, etc.

How often are reports delivered?
Company authorized cardholders can choose to have their reports delivered on a monthly, quarterly, annually, and/or on an “as-needed” basis. Cardholders can also have the option to download data exports on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual basis.

How do businesses enroll?
Complete the Visa Information Source Enrollment Form and return to:

or, drop off the Enrollment Form any of our convenient branches.
Once received, the Company Administrator will be contacted via e-mail and/or phone with registration and training information.
