American Savings Bank Promotes Homeownership and Strong Communities

Buying a home and clearing the financial, emotional and legal hurdles involved can sometimes be intimidating, especially for first-time home buyers. The new Hawaii HomeOwnership Center (HHOC) hopes to make the process easier. As a Center Sponsor, American Savings Bank will help promote the HHOC’s mission. The HHOC hopes to substantially increase the number of successful homeowners by reaching out to low- and moderate-income families who may believe that homeownership is out of reach. The Center offers all potential first-time home buyers in Hawaii free home-buying seminars and workshops, one-on-one counseling and down-payment assistance.
