David Todani
Executive Vice President, Chief Credit Officer

David Todani joined the bank as treasurer in November 2000 and was named senior vice president in May 2004, and promoted to executive vice president, commercial lending & administration in July 2007. As of February 2008, David was named chief credit officer. He manages the bank’s commercial and consumer credit policy and administration, and the appraisal, special assets/collections and secondary marketing departments.

Prior to joining American Savings Bank, David worked for Pacific Century Trust, Bank of Hawaii, and Honolulu Federal Savings & Loan in finance, treasury and investment management capacities. He serves on the investment committees of the Maunalani Foundation and Chamber of Commerce Public Health Fund, and serves as a director for the Hawaii Chapter of the Financial Executives Institute and is a member of CFA Hawaii, a chapter of the CFA Institute.

David is a Chartered Financial Analyst and is a graduate of The School for Executive Development at the University of Connecticut and the ABA School for Bank Investments at the University of Colorado. He has managed fixed income investment portfolios for Bank of Hawaii, mutual funds, endowments, and other institutional clients in Hawaii.

He received a bachelors degree in business administration at the University of Washington and a masters degree in business administration from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
