Aiu is responsible for leading ASB’s statewide branch network of 500 teammates working in 51 branches on five islands throughout the state.
“Dani’s impressive trajectory from branch teller to executive vice president is indicative of the valuable leadership skills she provides to ASB and our customers,” said Rich Wacker, president and CEO of American Savings Bank. “We look forward to her continued growth in this new role as she helps advance ASB’s position as one of Hawai‘i’s leading financial institutions.”
Aiu started her decades-long career in banking as a teller at what is now ASB’s Liliha branch in 1995. She quickly progressed through various leadership roles, including financial services representative, branch manager, regional executive and director of branch banking.
“This new role is truly an honor, and I am grateful to ASB for its continued support of my career over the past two decades,” said Dani Aiu, executive vice president and director of consumer banking. “I am excited to lead our consumer banking team as we strive to make banking as easy and convenient as possible for our customers.”
In March 2017, Aiu was named to Pacific Business News’ Women Who Mean Business Industry Leaders list. Aiu’s leadership extends into the community, including her role on the board of directors of the Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii, an organization that provides a safe haven where youth can grow, play and learn.
