Fifth Maui location and $10,000 donation to Maui Economic Opportunity demonstrate ASB’s commitment to serving and uplifting Valley Isle communities

American Savings Bank (ASB) announced today the grand opening of its new Lahaina Branch at Lahaina Cannery Mall (1221 Honoapiilani Hwy K-8), reinforcing its continued commitment to serving the Lahaina community. At the celebration, ASB presented a $10,000 donation to Maui Economic Opportunity (MEO) in support of the island’s ongoing wildfire efforts.

“American Savings Bank is excited to open its fifth Maui location, which allows us to better serve our Lahaina customers and community,” said Ann Teranishi, president and CEO at American Savings Bank. “Our goal was to reopen in a convenient and accessible location and we’re proud to welcome everyone into this new space. Mahalo to our incredible Maui teammates for the care and compassion they’ve shown our customers and community.”

ASB’s previous Lahaina branch on Papalaua Street was destroyed in the Maui wildfires. ASB selected Lahaina Cannery Mall for its newest location because of its accessibility and central location. The Lahaina Branch features two teller windows, one private consultation space and two full-service ATMs. The branch is open Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

“We’re grateful to have American Savings Bank back in Lahaina,” said Maui County Mayor Richard Bissen. “Their continued presence and support, including their contribution to Maui Economic Opportunity, reflect their ongoing commitment to our community as we move forward in recovery together.”

The $10,000 donation builds on ASB’s ongoing support of more than $550,000 in monetary contributions and furthers MEO’s mission to empower and uplift individuals and families through vital support services.
