American Savings Bank Named One of the Best Banks in Hawaii by Forbes for the Sixth Year

ASB July 11, 2025 | 1 MIN read Personal

American Savings Bank (ASB) has once again been recognized as one of the Best In-State Banks in Hawaii by Forbes – marking six years of this prestigious honor. The 2025 list includes just 213 banks nationwide, placing ASB in the top 4% of thousands of financial institutions across the country.

American Savings Bank Named 2025 Best-In-State-Bank by Forbes

“American Savings Bank is proud to be named one of Hawaii’s best banks for six years, a recognition that reflects the strong relationships we’ve built with our customers,” said Ann Teranishi, President and CEO at American Savings Bank. “This national award honors our commitment to delivering an excellent banking experience. We’re grateful to our customers for continuing to trust us to make their dreams possible – from buying a first home to growing a business and everything in between.”

ASB received the highest scores in recommendation and branch services among ranked Hawaii banks, reflecting its focus on easy, convenient banking and its commitment to serving the community.

How Forbes Determined the Rankings

  1. Independent Survey: Approximately 26,000 U.S. residents rated their banks based on trust, branch services, digital services, customer service, financial advice and terms and conditions.
  2. Public Reviews: Online reviews from the past three years were analyzed to assess overall sentiment.

Final rankings were based on combined scores from survey responses (80%) and public reviews (20%).

ASB provides a wide range of personalized financial services, including business and personal banking, competitive lending services, commercial banking and private wealth management through American Savings Investment Services.

This Forbes recognition adds to a growing list of 2025 accolades, including honors from KITV’s Best of Hawaii Viewer’s Choice Awards and Hawaii Home + Remodeling Magazine’s Reader’s Choice Awards.

As ASB celebrates a century of serving Hawaii, it remains focused on making a meaningful impact in the next 100 years – showing up for customers, bringing real impact to the community and helping build a stronger Hawaii for generations to come.

Mahalo for voting American Savings Bank one of Hawaii’s best banks.
